Today is the day. This morning, Fiscal Fridays opens its studio doors in Scottsdale to the first public audience the show has ever had. The coffee will be on by ten. David's 1878 pocket watch will be wound. And somewhere in the building, a spray bottle is waiting for the first advisor who runs long.
What time is Fiscal Fridays today?
Doors open at 10:00 AM Arizona time for coffee, and the show starts at 10:30 (that is 1:30 PM Eastern). The address is the American Retirement Advisors Studio, 8501 E. Princess Drive, Suite 210, in Scottsdale. The show runs about forty-five minutes, and then the panel stays seated for questions from the room.
Who is on stage?
David Schaeffer hosts, with Kyle Jacobs and Jason Tweet on the panel, and one more chair for this month's secret guest: a Medicare health plan executive who has spent his career inside the health insurance business. His name stays a surprise for the people in the room.
What should you bring?
A question. The one about your Social Security raise, your required minimum distribution, Medicare this fall, or the watch in the drawer that nobody has decided about yet. The panel takes questions from the room after the show. A pen helps too. Somebody always writes one thing down.

Is there still a seat?
Maybe. There are twenty seats, and they go to whoever saves one first. Check the show page, or call (602) 281-3898 this morning and we will tell you straight.
What if you cannot be in the room?
Past shows are on our Fiscal Footnotes channel on YouTube, so you can watch from your own couch. While you wait, the September show gives you a good feel for the format, buzzer and all. And if this week's countdown was new to you, it starts with why Fiscal Fridays is a show, not a seminar.
The next show is Friday, November 20. More on that soon. For now, the coffee is on.
